This is my second draft of the front cover, following similar design from my first draft. I have included conventions such as masthead, left third, skyline, sell lines, main header/sub titles and plug. I used a medium close up of the model as her facial expression can be seen clearly. The model represents the target audience as she has coloured hair, piercings and is wearing pop punk band Green Day's band t-shirt. She is also seen to be screaming which reflects the chaos that can be associated with this genre. I used green for the main header as this colour matches the model's hair which shows that the articles is about her and makes it personal. The teaser underneath is blue as this matches the colour of the masthead. I also made sure to use the same font as the masthead for the sell lines to create continuity throughout the magazine. This also makes it seem less jumbled and hard to read. I used red for '5' and 'win' to draw attention to the plug and free gift. This is also useful as I have placed the smaller features on this side of the page.
